Conservation In The North Cascades

Calling all people who care about preserving one of the wildest areas in the U.S

Big, wild and pristine, the North Cascades it is one of the last ecosystems wild and large enough in the lower 48 to support wide-ranging species such as grizzlies and wolves.

Wet and rainy on the west and desert-like on the east, no other region offers the breadth and beauty of the wildly varied North Cascades. Glimmering glaciers, cascading waterfalls and roaring streams offer an abundance of clean, clear water to neighboring communities and the region?s jagged mountain peaks, snowy crags and ancient valleys create a vast playground for generations of families to enjoy.

The North Cascades' federally-protected Wilderness Areas , National Recreation Areas, National Forests, National Parks and Wild and Scenic Rivers, ensure that this treasured region remains pristine for future generations to experience what we cherish today. If we plan for the future, we can shape it.
